The countdown begins

And the countdown officially begins till we hit the road! For those that don’t already know, Tara and I have decided to do an around Australia 4×4 trek for 6 months! Inspired by the life changing trip of Jules and Gabi’s to drive from London to Sydney for a year, we’ve also decided we should build up a 4×4 and see some of Australia other than capital cities and East coast. I guess we were also driven to do it by our English friends and relatives (who we love dearly!) that come to Australia, travel around and tell us how good our country is and make us jealous about how much of it they’ve seen!

So we’re heading off at Easter and will be away from April through to October. Computershare has been kind enough to give me the leave and Tara has resigned from her position at Decorative Events. The rough plan you can see on the map on our Where To page, we’ll head South first from Sydney going clockwise.

We’ve put together this blog to keep track of our journey and so that even those not on facebook can monitor our progress and photos. It’s also a good way of us recording the trip for our own memories.

  1. Couldn’t be more excited for you both! Tee showed me the pre-lim photos of the prado, new tyres, rooftop tent, tent verandah and mobile stove…. So cool! I’ll send you some hot tips on West Aus x

    • Of course! We’ll be banging down Demi’s door looking for a hot shower around mid-may and you can expect us out at Cobar around Septemberish

  2. So exciting guys-what an
experience you will have and thanks for this blog as I am not a Facebook user! Sounds as if you are super organised, as you were for the wedding and it should go like clockwork! Look forward to reading it as you go along. Love from The Harris xx

  3. SUPER exciting guys. Very impressive. Love the Prado mods (now I know what you’ve been going on about all this time) although I’m keen to know where you’re getting an iPad3 from 🙂

    Go team Robbo
